SEC Commissioner Peirce: Blockchain cannot change the essence of assets

[Coin World] On July 10 (UTC+8), Hester Peirce, a commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), expressed her views on concerns raised by some Republican lawmakers regarding the possibility of on-chain assets circumventing regulation. Peirce stated that although blockchain technology is powerful, it does not have the magic to change the nature of the underlying assets.
