The immersive translation plugin has paused the bilingual sharing feature, and some users are suspected of privacy leaks.
[Bitu] The official announcement of the immersive translation plugin regarding the suspension of the bilingual webpage sharing function states that it has recently received feedback from the community indicating that a small number of users accidentally shared pages that may contain personal information while using this function, and did not delete them in a timely manner from their personal center. To avoid potential privacy risks, it has been decided to temporarily take this function offline, and it will not be re-launched until a comprehensive privacy protection mechanism is established. The immersive translation official stated that there is no leakage of any translation content or backend user data, as only when users actively use the bilingual webpage sharing function will a link accessible to the outside be generated.
In addition, according to community news, some users have reported that the immersive translation plugin has leaked user privacy due to improper permission control, with users reporting that their wallet private keys have been leaked and that there are vulnerabilities in the webpage snapshot function.
