Tether freezes 1.6 million USDT to assist the United States in combating terrorism financing related to Gaza.

[Bitpush] Tether announced it is assisting U.S. authorities in freezing and reissuing approximately 1.6 million USD USDT, which are funds related to the Gaza BuyCash company, accused of financing terrorism.

This action is part of a civil forfeiture case involving approximately 2 million USD in digital assets by the U.S. Department of Justice. Tether stated that it has frozen over 2.9 billion USDT, collaborating with 275 law enforcement agencies across 59 jurisdictions, and has pledged to continue supporting global law enforcement in combating illegal activities.
