Pakistan establishes a virtual asset regulatory authority to strictly regulate the digital asset industry.

On July 8, according to reports, the Federal Government of Pakistan established the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA), responsible for regulating the country's digital asset industry.

PVARA will serve as an independent regulatory authority responsible for issuing licenses, supervising, and managing virtual asset service providers, while ensuring compliance with international standards, including adhering to the guidelines set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
